What Guests Are Saying
Poole Knobs is a beautiful and clean campground with friendly hosts and great lake views, making it a favorite for many campers. While some sites are uneven and require leveling, the peaceful atmosphere and proximity to Nashville add to its appeal. The campground offers a variety of amenities, though improvements to bathhouse access and site leveling are suggested by some visitors.

Site 54 was an amazing site! The trail down through the woods to the water is very manageable. Great area to swim around as well. Loved this site!

We love the rustic feel and wooded campsites. Very hilly. See review: https://youtu.be/0kL4BD3_RWg

The sites aren’t level and too small for most campers. Very rough and hard to maneuver. The shower houses are not easy to access.
Horrible experience.
Never going back.

Our campsite was down a hill (we had to back our camper downhill and then make a turn). Wouldn't have been so bad but the site was very uneven. We had to put the camp up on blocks to raise the one side up, a lot. First step into camper was very high.

Site was a bit sloped and required leveling blocks but it was a nice waterfront space, private on the lakeside. Should have brought our kayaks. Nice and quiet and woodsy. We've been here before and will come again.

Great staff. Everything was good with only exception being low water pressure.
Juicy Seafood in Smyrna serves delicious catfish.

We traveled from NC to CA and back and stayed at campgrounds all along. Poole Knobs was our absolute favorite and we plan to visit again in the Fall.
