What Guests Are Saying
Poole Knobs is a beautiful and clean campground with friendly hosts and great lake views, making it a favorite for many campers. While some sites are uneven and require leveling, the peaceful atmosphere and proximity to Nashville add to its appeal. The campground offers a variety of amenities, though improvements to bathhouse access and site leveling are suggested by some visitors.

Nice campground with well spaced shady sites. Many sites are water front. Good base for exploring the Nashville area.

I've camp there many times over the years with friends. Now that I have my own camper, I can come more often. I would like to recommend how nice it would be if the Poole Knob campground would be open from April to October.

Sites were good and our site was fairly level. Water pressure is strong and the electricity was stable. Will definitely be coming back again.

We only stayed for one night and arrived around 9:30 pm. The check-in station was closed until the morning, so we were able to just proceed to our site. This was nice because it was so hassle free, but also makes it so there isn’t any security at night. The showers were free and fairly clean with hot water, as well as the bathrooms. The road leading in to the campground is easy to navigate and not too far from gas stations and restaurants (about ten minutes). The individual sites are pretty close to each other, many with almost adjoining driveways. Many campers were there for longer periods, giving the campground a neighborhood feel. Cellphone service is strong enough to make calls and texts, but not enough to stream or download anything.
