We had a very frustrating experience with this campground and would not recommend it based on their poor communication and unreasonable policies.
My check-in time was listed as 6:30 PM, which is extremely restrictive—especially when you’re hauling a camper across the country and dealing with unpredictable travel delays. What made the situation worse was that an employee I spoke with beforehand told me he would call to check on my location and coordinate arrival. Unfortunately, that call never came.
As we got closer, I tried multiple times to reach the campground to confirm whether someone would be available when we arrived. I called several times and left messages, but no one ever answered or returned my calls. At that point, we had no idea if the campground was even open or if we’d be able to check in at all.
Because of the complete lack of communication and support, we ultimately had no choice but to make other arrangements and were unable to stay there. Despite this, they refused to reimburse us.
This experience was incredibly disappointing. Reliable communication is essential when traveling, especially with a camper, and this campground failed completely in that regard. I strongly recommend that future guests think twice before booking here unless they are absolutely certain they can arrive exactly on time and are comfortable with the risk of no support if issues arise.

Worse camping experience we have ever had. Their WiFi was down and showers and toilet was out of order due to it flooding. Office said didn’t know when it would be fixed. We were there 4 nights and no sign of repairs. They did loan us something that allowed us to watch tv. The lake was the only good thing about it. And there were 4 bunkers/ bomb shelters in the campground which was definitely weird. They were old and trashy looking. Do not recommend!!!!

The WORST PLACE, couldn’t find a KOA for one night passing though wish we would have just kept driving. They had a bathroom/shower house but it was locked at 6pm, told us we would just have to wait until the next morning. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PLACE, felt very unsafe also.

Was such a beautiful hidden gem, that featured a lake, fishing and beautiful sunsets that only get complimented by the lake. The staff was amazing and very helpful with my last minute reservation while traveling. I highly recommend staying here for an amazingly clean and luxurious park
