The campground itself was nice and everyone was super friendly.
Watch out for snakes though! I got bitten by a Cotten mouth snake on my way to the showers walking at the street. I had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance which caused me to have to cancel the remainder of my planned trip which was about 8 other campgrounds. My biggest gripe with recreation.gov is that they charged me a cancellation fee for each campground even after I got bitten by a snake on their (Bandy Creek) campground and for some nights no refund at all.
We saw lots of warnings about bears but barely any for snakes. The night before a 5-year old got bit by a snake at the same campground as well.

I really enjoy this campground. The entire site was as close to garbage free as any site we go to. Excellent and clean bath houses.

Awesome place to stay. They provide a bear box to store food. The tent pad is moss/packed gravel. The picnic table could use a cleaning or replacement of the boards. Seems like all of them are like that, except for the handicapped sites which have very nice table tops. This site is right next to the bathhouse which is cleaned often. A water pump is on both ends of the bathhouse. There is a nice camp store, and pool.

If you like hiking, mountain biking, or horseback riding, this is your place! So many trails to choose from with fantastic views and scenery.
There is also fishing, swimming, kayaking and canoeing (for experienced paddlers!). The beautiful pool is open on weekends, if you are not into creeks. Enough wildlife to make a hunter drool. This bear country, so plan accordingly. Tent sites have food safe boxes on them.

Other than loud neighbors late into the night, everything was great.

Our family had a great experience at Bandy Creek Campground. It's in a beautiful area with a lot of activities, the campground is very clean, the sites are large and well laid out, everyone was kind, the pool is in great condition, and the bathhouse is clean.
We stayed as a two site group with a mix of tents and an RV. The sites accommodated the tents and RV perfectly. Flat, paved, and food storage boxes.
There is so much to do in this area, we've been here twice and feel as though we haven't even begun to discover all it has to offer. We can't wait to come back!
