Bear Creek Campground is praised for its peaceful, clean environment, friendly neighbors, and well-maintained facilities, including clean bathrooms and hot water. Many visitors enjoy the spacious campsites and beautiful trails, making it ideal for hiking and horseback riding. The campground is nice, the stanchions in some of the sites are broken or in need of repair. The bathhouse was clean and warm (it was November so much appreciated). No wifi at the bathhouse, and service is hit or miss. The road into the campground is quite narrow in spots but not very busy. The trails are in great shape and very beautiful, lots of views and pretty scenery. There are 2 trails directly from the camp, but then more branch off further out. I recommend a trail app beforehand as there is no information on the trails at the campground. Overall it’s a great weekend length stay, and we will definitely be back!

Nice campground, except for the picnic table; it was way past it's prime and needs to be reworked. As a place specifically set up for horses, I expected the occasional smell of horse manure... and I was okay with that, but the flies were ridiculous. Hundreds of them and at least 20-30 of them got into the camper

The grounds were well maintained and the restrooms and showers were clean and almost too warm! You had to get out of your jacket as soon as you entered- not a bad thing on those cold mornings. Our site, #4, was level and roomy. The roads in and out were a bit twisty and narrow, passing another long camper could have been a challenge. All in all, a great stay!

This is a lovely little campground with pretty well maintained trails, although there aren't a lot of them. The biggest drawback is the horse racks. They are in the process of redesigning how horses are going to be kept there and that will make a huge improvement. Don't miss the trail that goes to Blue Heron area. Round pens provided space for horses to stretch their legs on non riding days. The bath house was nice and warm on chilly days. The ranger was really nice and friendly.

Very clean and well maintained. The trails could use better markers and more accurate distance.

It had been a few years since our last stay here, but it was wonderful. Everything was so nice, 2 very nice sturdy round pens have been added to the amenities. The showers and bathrooms were very clean and well stocked. Campsite was very clean and host was very nice. The trails have all been updated now and are awesome! No more steep washed out slopes or huge slick rocks. All gravel and very well maintained. Can’t wait to come back again!
