Pickwick Dam Campground

Great place to RV. Big campground. Lots of fishing at the dam. Great places to eat catfish.

One of my favorite places to fish for small mouth, no reason to go fishing if the current isnt rolling lol. But the camp ground us nice and pretty spaced out. Would Definitely recommend

Campground was nice. But we were not aware of the paper mill across the river. I'm sure you get used to it, but there is s strong smell.

Nice area along the river. Many barges going up and down the river. You can fish and there is a boat ramp. Restrooms/showers are clean. The only negative is that a lot of sites have a bit of a drop off (off the road into site). If you have a 5th wheel, especially, be careful that you don't hit your bed rail with the nose. We had to jack it pretty hard to get into site. Once in, we were great. Getting out was much easier bc nobody was across from us and we could make a wide turn. Wnen you arrive, let them know if you have an Amer. the Beautiful Pass. You will get $9.00 off per night.

We love this campground for so many reasons. First, the hosts Barb and John do a great job and work very hard to maintain the grounds and sites. We camped for a few days and enjoyed the beauty of the park. Our site was ready to go when we arrived. Barb was prepared for an easy check- in and made us feel right at home. We have never camped at a park with a clean and shiny grill. It makes it once less thing to pack. The bath houses were clean, with hand soap and plenty of toliet tissue. The on site fishing area was nice and just as well maintained as the rest of the park. After we arrived back home, we booked another stay in time before the park closes for the winter.
