What Guests Are Saying

Cove Creek RV Resorts offers a peaceful location near the Smokies with spacious sites and beautiful views, making it convenient for access to local shops and restaurants. Many guests appreciate the cleanliness of the bathrooms and laundry facilities, as well as the accommodating staff. However, there are concerns about maintenance, with some noting overgrown grass and unkempt areas, limited office hours, and issues with amenities like internet and pool access.

Upon check in, I couldn't find the entry door...after rounding the building, found it at the rear. Once inside, noticed that they could see my confusion through the windows. No one tapped on the window or helped me. Once inside and checking in, the girl checked me in ( we were a day early. Oops) She accommodated us and she informed us of our site. We had a back in site, which was backwards for our large rig, meaning the parking would have been easy if the angled the right way. Once we parked and set up, we were met by lots of Carpenter Bees 馃悵. Setting up the internet (which Never Worked) was another issue. Although, the office said they would look into it. We initially were going to stay an additional day, but decided No Way. Pool, not open. Opening after we left, yet we stayed the previous day in Cartersville GA and their pool, lazy river, water slides, hot tub, were All Open. This place states they are a RV Resort which still makes me laugh. Save your money and go down the road about 4 miles, much nicer places to stay for the money. Staff was nice and tried to help so this is why the two stars.

Overall, we would stay here again. The location was great, especially without all the traffic from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It had some shops and restaurants around that were pretty good! We walked to a lot of the places around here. The view was great, and the cabin was very quaint! It featured a loft with two twin mattresses, bunk beds, a pull-out couch, and a master bedroom with, I believe, a queen bed. The front porch was very nice, and the views were perfect. The kitchen does not have an oven but does have a microwave and a mini stovetop. The fridge is a mini-fridge and, unfortunately, does not fit a lot. The cabin had cookware, dinnerware, and silverware as well. The bathroom was well-stocked. My only complaints were that the TVs did not work at all. Thankfully, my husband works in IT and figured out how to mirror our phones to the screen. Also, this cabin does not have a great water heater. Beware, in the shower, your hot water will last ten minutes at max, and that's just from one person using the shower. If multiple people need to shower, the people behind the first will be stuck with cold water. Overall, we would stay here again, but I really hope these issues are improved.

Cove Creek RV Resort is a peaceful, well maintained campground in a quiet area of the Smokies. The large sites can accommodate the biggest big rigs, and the views are amazing. This campground is walking distance to several bar/restaurants and shops, minus the extreme congestion in the big towns. The campground has all of the basics needed as well as very clean bathrooms and laundry. We just finished our month-long stay on May 1, 2026. We will definitely be back next spring.

This could be such a great place but the maintenance team is dragging this place down. We stayed here a couple months and it's hard to watch our rent money be wasted on these guys. They move at turtle speed and don't care about what maintenance is actually supposed to do. They pretty much only do lawn care and that is done halfway. No edging, grass isn't mowed weekly so you have tall grass in your site. Gravel sites are half covered in grass and weeds. The office area has weeds growing all over the place. A shame that upper management is here weekly and lets this place continue to be run this way.

We checked in on Wednesday 7/22 and left today 7/26. Grass was not mowed at campsite and there was many signs about staying off the mulch around pool area. That was a joke since there was hardly any mulch there, but lots of weeds and no flowers. Whole campground was very unkept. It definitely is not A RESORT as stated online. And I was only able to access the office on the day we checked in. It was closed ( when it was supposed to be open) the other times I checked. Lady was very nice on Wednesday. I loved the coffee but was only able to get it that first day. And I tried several washers and to my disappointment, I had to use my credit card and neither of the two I tried to use would not work but I have &5 pending on my credit card. Now I will have to deal with that tomorrow when the bank is open. Very disappointed with our stay.
Could not figure out how to add pictures I took
