Great campground. Very nice mountain lake. No motorboats, which is excellent, and allows for serene paddle boarding, kayaking, and canoeing. Very clear and clean water. Only one trail for hiking easily accessible. Other trails are minimum 3 miles down the road, which is somewhat inconvenient, IMO.

Mrs.Sue and Gary where by far the most extraordinary people I have ever met. Billy at the camp store went above and beyond service. Ms. Martha was a very sweet person. Mary Jane was awesome. Plan on camping there every summer from here on out.

Overall, our experience was very good; although the sites in Loop D are tighter and smaller than ones we have stayed in on Loop C previously. Very neat and clean!

We loved the opportunity to be disconnected, so having no signal was nice. We stayed in Loop A (34 ft Class C), the hosts were great. The deal with hammocks is for real - apparently there are some sites where the trees are inside wood outline, but those are the only ones where you can put one up. I believe its an $80 fine for a hammock on the site outside of that area. We stayed close to the general store where they have everything and anything one might need, there is a paybox for those needing firewood or ice after hours. This was our first time camping w/o water hookup, but we were lucky to have the access right next to our site, so we were able to briefly hookup to it and fill our tank. Walked the loop - very easy. We stayed in early May and the elevation made it nice during the day and chilly at night, enough to appreciate a fire. Went into town and hung out at Tellico Beach - had some hot dogs and ice cream (WOW!). Only disappointment was that weekend people back home in Knoxville were able to see the Northern Lights - definitely could not see them at the campground.

We had a wonderful time, just bad weather. Grandchildren love to walk to store and ride their bikes. Everyone was very friendly and pleasant! Hostess’s are great and are also checking on the bathrooms and campers!

This is my favorite campground. I love loop A. When I made my reservations everything was booked but site B44 so I took it. When I was there the campground was near empty. The new reservation system is the worst ever. I used to be able to camp there multiple times a year now I can't even get in because it's booked with people holding sites and not camping. This needs to stop.
