Loved our stay and always do, clean facilities, great location, the only problem is the horrible rule that hammocks can’t be used due to them not being allowed to be hung outside of the wooden site boundaries. This eliminates all hammocks as there are no trees inside the boundaries. Some of our family didn’t bring and can’t use normal tents, just hammock ones. It caused a lot of turmoil and would limit many parties from camping who prefer the hammock camping style.

This campground should be used as a guide to redesign all federal facilities. It allows flexibility to set up your campsite as you see fit, without harming the campsite. Some of the other campgrounds such as Cades Cove are installing concrete slabs, which may seem to be a good idea but it restricts a large amount of space each site has, since they require you to remain on the concrete. This design also will be much easer to maintain through time.

Beautiful place. The only thing that made me mad is getting in trouble about my hammock placement. You can hang your hammock anywhere in the national forest. You can walk through any marked or UNmarked path. Why can I not hang my hammock outside the campsite boundary? This is dumb. I pay to be there. I pay in taxes to have this land. I pay for the rangers paychecks. It’s not like I hurt the tree to hang my hammock. There is no long lasting or short for that matter damage by hanging a hammock. “Keep it within the wooden boundary”, they said. Where am I supposed to hang it? I can’t hang one when there are no trees in the campsite. Even if there was, which my neighbor had, you made them take it down too. Theirs was in the campsite except one strap. This is ridiculous. Other than that beautiful place, but hard to get reservations. Beach could use more sand without rocks.

Has the very best camp hosts. Also the neatest store with everything in it with awesome owners. The only problem with Indian Boundary is trying to get reservations!!!!

Everything was great! Scenery was beautiful for early season. Campsite and amenities were perfect. Fellow campers were friendly and polite (no rowdies). Camp hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. We already have 2 more trips reserved this year!
