Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the helpful camp hosts, as well as the scenic lake and beach area. However, some concerns include limited bathroom facilities, occasional rudeness from park rangers, and the lack of cell service, which may impact convenience. Camp grounds were quiet, orderly and clean. Camp sites had large gravel paved pads with electric close. We had a lake view with vivid sunsets. We were visiting friends so everyday was a different direction to sight see. Traveling the parkway was beautiful. We went to a dairy, would do the tour of the dairy next visit. Pigeon Forge was a nice place to visit but the local shops and out of the way restaurants were the best. You have to go to Brewster's Ice Cream Shop. You can ask any local for directions to Brewster's. Have a great time!

There is NO place on earth like Indian Boundary! We have looked at many other camping areas and none can compare!
LOVE the store, the size and spacing of the sites, the bath houses, the cleanliness, the peace....I could go on and on!

We have been coming to Indian Boundary for family reunion every October for about 15 years. We love it...we have always loved it. But, this year we have a NEW REGULATION about hammocks not being allowed outside of the perimeter of the campsite. I know there are some campers that abused small trees with their hammocks. BUT, hammocks are a BIG part of our camp trip. We always used big trees to tie ours too, with respect for the smaller ones. Now, no hammocks. There are maybe three campsites in the entire campground that have a tree within the boundary of the site to tie up to. You have camp hosts who are required to police the campground....making sure general rules are followed. I don't know why you couldn't of made a rule that all hammocks must be no farther than 15 feet beyond he parameter, or ten feet beyond. Then, if people broke the law, warn them once. If it continues, take their hammock or write them up. But don't take the hammock away from us by keeping it inside the parameter. The whole idea of camping is R&R...hammocks are a big part of that......it is NOT the same with out them. Please reconsider before you open in March? April? and see if you can come up with a new solution.Everyone we talked to was very unhappy with this rule. Also, lots . of people are appalled at the government making the Camp Hosts, who volunteer all their time to this forest, clean the restrooms. That is so degrading, and so unnecessary. This campground generates lots of money, and has very little upkeep. I see them get so weary every year, with the load you put on them. The crew is wonderful....they work together, help each other...constantly checking the sites, keeping the peace...doing their job, and then some....we feel it is degrading to them as caregivers of our beautiful parks, to tell them they have to clean commodes to keep their jobs...........for free. How I wish it could go back to the way it was with paid help to clean, or volunteers JUST for cleaning .Thank U

Always a wonderful experience. Campground always clean and well maintained. The lake is breathtaking and the trail around it an awesome experience. Well loved so best to have a reservation although the overflow area is not as full.

Restrooms are clean but have maintenance needs. Sometimes faucets don't work correctly, or there is no way to dry your hands if electric dryer is broken. No paper towels are furnished.

Reservation.gov web site may show you a photo of the campsite you've selected, but I reserved a site once that turned out did not work for my equipment because the wrong campsite photo was attached on the web site.

Campground rules say no camper over 26 feet length allowed, but the rule is apparently not enforced. There were many longer RVs seen at the campground. The rule should either be enforced or the rule should be eliminated.
