Indian Boundary Campground offers a beautiful, tranquil setting with well-maintained facilities, spacious and shaded campsites, and clean bathrooms, making it an ideal location for family-friendly activities like hiking, swimming, and kayaking. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the helpful camp hosts, as well as the scenic lake and beach area. However, some concerns include limited bathroom facilities, occasional rudeness from park rangers, and the lack of cell service, which may impact convenience. Overall, it's a cherished spot for many campers who enjoy the natural beauty and outdoor experiences it provides.

We were on site 17A. Beautiful, large site with a view of the lake. Nice fishing pier close to our site. Beautiful beach and swimming area. Great camp store.
Bald River Falls is very close and a must see!

Very pretty area and campground. Facilities include clean bath houses with flush toilets and showers, a group pavilion, a swimming beach, and a small pier on the lake. There is also a camp store. Facilities were clean and in good repair.
Being on the Cherohala Skyway scenic drive with waterfalls, overlooks, and hiking opportunities makes the campground a great place to base your daily activities.
Sites are nice, but many require leveling blocks. No water or sewer available at sites. Although there are water spigots available throughout campground and a dump station available.

Scout Troop 20 from Knoxville spent two nights at the Indian Boundary Campground. We stayed in Loop A, which had a nearby water source and bear-proof trash receptacles. The bathhouse was well maintained and stocked. We were also close to the General Store and had good access to the 3.1-mile loop biking/hiking trail that gpes around the lake perimeter.
Our camp host (one for each loop) welcomed us to our site and provided a copy of the campground rules and a map. She knew a lot about nearby resources and activities.
The campground gate was secured shortly after the posted closing hours and opened at the posted opening times. While the reservable campsites in the loops were mostly occupied, space was available on a first-come, first-served basis in the overflow area. The bathrooms in the overflow are standard pit toilets and do not have the showers and sinks found in the main campground.
Many families with small children were camping nearby and the children were happily biking the campground loop. Quiet times in the campground were largely observed.
The General Store is well stocked with nearly anything you might need for a successful camp, and we found the prices to be quite reasonable. Their unique stock of Indian Boundary-branded items included more than just wearables, as they have jams, jellies, local honey, and even salsa made locally with their label.

Wow…what a great experience we had on a three night four day camping trip at Indian Boundary. The bathrooms are shockingly clean and the campground is amazing. Orderly, clean, perfect setting, nice camp store, great sandy beach and clean lake as well as 3.1 mi walking trail around the entire lake and through the campground. This place lacked nothing and we had a fabulous time. Also took our Great Dane very dog friendly.

The campsites were spacious, and the trails connected to the campground were great too.

Gates were locked at night till 6am. I was traveling cross country and needed to start early. I was delayed getting to my next stop by sunset. Nowhere on the website was this rule explained and the campground host was rude when I brought it to her attention. Otherwise nice place but unless you are staying late it’s fine
