Policies & Rules

Site capacity

  • Reservations include 1 vehicle and up to 4 guests; maximum 6 guests per site.

Safety & rules

  • A speed limit of 5 MPH is enforced throughout the campground.
  • Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM.
  • Enter the river at your own risk; children under 16 must be with an adult.
  • Playing on rocks and climbing trees is prohibited.
  • Sites must be kept clean; do not leave food or trash outside.
  • Trash must be disposed of in the bear-proof dumpster provided.
  • Fireworks and excessive noise are prohibited.

Parking

  • Please inform staff if you are bringing a golf cart.
  • Bikes may be ridden around the campground on the gravel road. Please watch for vehicles and do not ride through neighboring sites. Children under 13 should be with an adult.
  • No washing vehicles or RVs (there is a car wash next to ACE Hardware)
  • YOU UNDERSTAND PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL THAT SMOKY WATERS CAMPGROUND IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES, LOSS OR INJURY TO ANY PERSON (GUEST OR VISITOR), VEHICLE, RV OR OTHER PERSONAL PROPERTY

Pets

  • Pets must be leashed at all times; maximum of 2 pets per site.
  • Pet owners must clean up after their pets and inform staff if they have a yard fence.
  • Tethering pets to trees is prohibited.
  • Aggressive or disruptive pets are not allowed.
  • Negligence, slipping and falling, accidental drowning, exposure to temperature and weather extremes, hyperthermia (heat related), hypothermia, heat exhaustion, sunburn, dehydration, exposure to potentially dangerous wild animals, insect bites, snakes and the possibility of snake bites, hazardous plant life, acts of God such as but not limited to tree limbs falling, lightning, medical conditions resulting from physical activity; and damaged clothing or other property. I understand such risks simply cannot be eliminated, despite the use of safety equipment, without jeopardizing the essential qualities of the activity.

Fires & fuel

  • Portable fire pits are available upon request; no permanent fire pits on-site.
  • You can bring your own fire pit with a bottom; no homemade fire pits or fire rings on grass without a bottom.
  • Firewood is available for purchase on-site for $10 per bundle.
  • Fires and grills are prohibited during extreme weather conditions.

General

  • There are currently no picnic tables provided.
  • I expressly accept and assume all the risks inherent in this activity or that might have been caused by the negligence of the Releasees. My participation in this activity is purely voluntary and I elect to participate despite the risks. In addition, if at any time I believe that event conditions are unsafe or that I am unable to participate due to physical or medical conditions, then I will immediately discontinue participation.
  • In the event that I file a lawsuit, I agree to do so solely in the state where Releasees’ facility is located, and I further agree that the substantive law of that state shall apply.
  • I agree that if any portion of this agreement is found to be void or unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.
  • First and foremost, respect your neighbor and their peace. We are all looking for a place to rest from the chaos. We hope to always provide an atmosphere that is serene and peaceful. We are here to lend a helping hand if you need us for anything. To help provide a great experience for all campers, we just have a few simple policies:
  • ***PLEASE!!! ONLY USE RAPID DISSOLVING RV TISSUE AND APPROVED RV BLACK TANK TREATMENT***
  • ***ABSOLUTELY NO FLUSHING OF WIPES OF ANY KIND!!***
  • (PRODUCTS ARE AVAILBLE FOR PURCHASE IN THE OFFICE IF THE NEED ARISES)
  • Smoky Waters Campground may use photos taken from a distance to promote their business on social media.
  • You will be required to sign this release upon arrival:
  • I have had sufficient time to read this entire document and, should I choose to do so, consult with legal counsel prior to signing. Also, I understand that this activity might not be made available to me or that the cost to engage in this activity would be significantly greater if I were to choose not to sign this release and agree that the opportunity to participate at the stated cost in return for the execution of this release is a reasonable bargain.

Guests

  • VISITORS POLICY (please see staff member regarding visitor policy as this can be adjusted as needed)

Check-in

  • Visitors are to check-in upon arrival (Please notify staff if you know you will have visitors prior to their arrival)

Deposit

  • Visitor Day Passes are purchased in the office. Twelve years and under are free. Fees are as follows age 13 & up:
  • 1 hour or less- no charge
  • I hereby voluntarily release, forever discharge, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Releasees from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action which are in any way connected with my participation in this activity, or my use of their equipment or facilities, arising from negligence. This release does not apply to claims arising from intentional conduct. Should Releasees or anyone acting on their behalf be required to incur attorney’s fees and costs to enforce this agreement, I agree to indemnify and hold them harmless for all such fees and costs.
  • In consideration of participating in recreational camping, and for other good and valuable consideration, I hereby agree to release and discharge from liability arising from negligence Smoky Waters Campground LLC and its owners, directors, officers, employees, agents, volunteers, participants, and all other persons or entities acting for them (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Releasees”), on behalf of myself and my children, parents, heirs, assigns, personal representative and estate, and also agree as follows:

Noise

  • over 1 or more hours - $5.00 per person

Check-out

  • Visitors must check-out by 10:00 pm

Wildlife & food storage

  • Disturbing or feeding wildlife is prohibited.

Safety

  • I acknowledge that recreational camping involves known and unanticipated risks which could result in physical or emotional injury, paralysis or permanent disability, death, and property damage. Risks include, but are not limited to:
  • By signing this document, I agree that if I am hurt or my property is damaged during my participation in this activity, then I may be found by a court of law to have waived my right to maintain a lawsuit against the parties being released on the basis of any claim for negligence.

Insurance

  • I represent that I have adequate insurance to cover any injury or damage I may suffer or cause while participating in this activity, or else I agree to bear the costs of such injury or damage myself. I further represent that I have no medical or physical condition which could interfere with my safety in this activity, or else I am willing to assume – and bear the costs of – all risks that may be created, directly or indirectly, by any such condition.
