Look Rock Campground

Very noisy from the road above, racing bikes and cars through the night. No showers.

No thanks.

What a great campground. The host was nice. The bathrooms were clean. The site we were on had water and power. Great for a stop over. Clean and quiet.

Look Rock Campground is a hidden gem on the foothills parkway in which the campers were spread out with plenty of sites available. We saw wild pigs, a momma bear with two cubs and watch the lunar eclipse. We will definitely make a return visit.

This simple campground is beautifully and uniquely carved into the slope of the foothills of the Smokey Mountains. Close proximity to civilization, hiking, nearby sunset and sunrise viewing areas, and clean, up to date facilities are among the amenities. I will definitely be returning.

Campground was nice but lots were closer together than we like.

The campground host was very personable and informative. However, the water at the site was terrible-it had a bad taste, chunks of brownish material (? if metal from the pipes or minerals) but there also was 'sediment' even when the chunks were filtered out.
It would've been more convenient if there was at least a vault toilet on the bottom row of camping [I was in an electric site] rather than having to go up to the top road each time nature called.
The convenient on-site kiosk to get day parking passes was a great bonus.

Beautiful, peaceful place

Great location. Easy access to beautiful roads. Peaceful aside from a dog barking ALL night long.

Stayed in site 60. Water and electric. Level side to side with a slight Slope. T-mobile had some coverage. Park was quiet with few campers mid-week. Not many trails nearby so be prepared to drive to other parts of the park. If you are in an RV or pulling a trailer (we have a 27 ft trailer) follow the directions provided so as not to get in a pickle. Rest rooms weee clean. No showers. Dump station is out of the way depending on your site.
