Southern Oaks RV Resort- Aransas Pass, TX

Arrived two weeks before the end of the month don’t get my wrong park was nice and quiet, water pressure sucked, but i decided to change parks and talked to management about it told them my plan and they said okay I said to avoid any fees from leaving earlier than planned or less than a 30 day notice I can stay the next month to avoid them they said no you’ll be okay I would just owed electric. Ended up leaving and called back to pay the electric. They charged me over 200 dollars because the lady I spoke to “didn’t recall” telling me such thing. Horrible experience and money down the drain.

We loved this place! It’s conveniently located near several Gulf cities, including
Aransas Pass, Port Aransas, Rockport, Fulton and Corpus Christi. The campsites are spacious, the clubhouse is lovely and the saltwater pool and hot tub are luxurious. The staff is very accommodating and does their best to handle any issues that arise. Another family member who is a full time RVer wintered here too and he said this is the best park they’ve ever stayed in. We would definitely recommend and will be back again!

This is an RV park not a hotel. Rv pads are concrete with water, sewer, and electricity. They have a large club house with an exercise room, laundry and showers. There is a heated outdoor pool and hot tub. Alot of people spend the winter here to escape the cold north weather.

Beware. Management will nickle and dime you to death. We canceled our reservations today for a stay from Dec 20, 2026 to January 20 3027 and they charged us $50 for the cancelation. Of course they are not giving any money back for the hot tub that was out of service for days several times in the 3+ months we were here, the washing machines that didn't work, the handicapped stalls in the ladies rooms that were out of order, the holes in the sidewalks that they "repaired" with an orange cone, and they did nothing about the people who never cleaned up after their dogs. It would seem to me that a lot of this is pure laziness and the rest is greed.
The grounds are overrun with burrs that get in your dogs paws, your camper, and your feet.
Their rates change at will, and the electric is higher than other resorts in the area, and they say they have no control.
Traffic noise is terrible, and will likely get worse, as the large tract of land beside them was sold, with construction ongoing, and the word is that it will be large factory locations.
The office is closed at 4 pm until 8 am weekdays, and closed on Sundays, so if you have an issue, you are on your own.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place!! The staff here are incredibly friendly, competent, and have great discernment. I have a disability and they are beyond accommodating for my needs. As you can see from the photos, dogs love it here, also. Everyone is a respectful pet owner. The saltwater pool is great for joints and muscles. Stay here, you will love it!
