Great spot during the week when there are fewer people around. You have to book your RV spot in advance because weekends are hard to come by. Feels like you’re away from the city in peace when there. I don’t like alot of people jammed pack around me when camping. Although, comparatively there’s a good amount of space between each site with lots of trees. Usually, it’s just me and a couple of visitors and the dog. I’m able to work remotely in peace and take a bike ride on a lunch break with beautiful scenery. The full hookup sites are hard to get for extended days. I downsized from a 36 ft rig with 50 amps to a small C with 30 amps and there are plenty of sites to accommodate me now. The 30amp sites do not have sewer hookup but there are a couple of dump stations on the way out. I’m local and keep my coach in storage nearby. So when I’m coming home from a long trip and need to dump, they allow you to enter and dump for $5 bucks. That’s awesome. Great people who run the park and they are cutting the grass and cleaning consistently each morning. I absolutely recommend this lake. Beware of Coyotes. They’re not interested in you but proceed with caution. They like an early morning stroll back to the woods to sleep during the day. This is when I’ve spotted them the most. You can hear them howling at night. Never leave your pet tied up outside after dark. My old pup hates being inside so I keep her on a 30 ft leash and watch her while I’m working during the day. I left her collar attached to her rope tie out one night and the next morning it was chewed off and no where in sight. The rope was wet where it was chewed. This is also a Great Lake to kayak in. I’ve had many wonderful kayak tours around the park. Lots of birds of all sorts, including heron and ducks to enjoy along the way.
