Beautiful campground area, very well maintained. Be cautious about moving rocks (moving a rock around 1 ft to anchor supplies got us a slap on the hand) - and even if you have a portable “contained” pellet/non-wood fire pit, it will not be permitted (we were misinformed that this was not considered a ground fire and got in trouble for that too). These folks were quite feisty and grumpy about rules we didn’t even know we were breaking. I’m sure they get tired of telling people not to do stuff but it wasn’t a warm fuzzy feeling to be treated the way we were when we intended to be compliant in the first place. It was my niece and nephews first time to a national park (they are state park pros!) and were so put off by it they told me they weren’t sure they ever wanted to go to another national park (eek!) otherwise, STUNNING grounds, quiet and serene, and easy access to trails.

Such a beautiful spot, with many of the great trails in the park originating right nearby.

Clean campsite, facilities all close together and easy to navigate in the dark, stable camping area, easy access road with no bumps or navigation issues or non-marked paths, and a frankly spectacular view in the day and night. Great first time camping.

The park ranger was so rude and threatening to kick my bf and I out for “being loud” at 845pm
Not even quiet time, it was just us two, playing cards. It was crazy we came over twice. Think just being creepy at that point.
It was a beautiful place though☀️

Great location! The night temperature is also pretty stable, not much wind. Has drinkable water and a store nearby.
