The park is beautiful, the campground is great. There was a group of people who had zero social awareness and light discipline….other than those folks. I loved it!

Site 15 level enough for a class b van. Beautiful campground, clean restrooms and outstanding views. Drive into area is tight hairpins but not as bad as I expected.

Great location. Quiet, clean, and perfect. A little windy, but no one controls that.

Love the Chisos Basin! Volunteer staff and camp host were wonderful. My only suggestion is that the park invest in re-leveling some of the tent sites with crushed granite.

Amazing views, even at the tail end of summer it was nice and cool I the evenings in the chisos basin. We did pinnacle trail into south rim into Laguna meadows trail, about 12 mi. Had some absolutely breathtaking views down that trail and plenty of wildlife to see. Bring plenty of water, although there is a fill up station at the visitore center.

First time at Big Bend and Chisos Basin Campground couldn’t have been a better pick! Stayed at site 58 which didn’t have a shade over the picnic table but honestly no complaint on that, the views and the cooler temp in the basin didn’t make it an issue even in early September. Access to multiple trailheads nearby, Window Trail starts right in the campground. Campground is well taken care of, great hosts, incredible views, will be back!!

We were in the tent camping area.. the site directly across from the bathrooms.. we loved our time in Big Bend.. the parking was a little strange in the campground but that may be the only real downfall.
