Campsite was great! There is lots of wildlife so be aware. Campground was a convenient location. The bathrooms and washing stations were alright but could have been cleaner.

This site doesn't have a ramada like some next to it, but there is a nice tree that provided a lot of shade in the afternoon.

Campsites were regularly monitored and cared for. Restrooms on site were clean throughout all three days, and were well stocked.

It was warm when we arrived but that first night was absolutely brutal. It thunder stormed and the winds were strong. Didn't sleep until 4am and it was after we went to our truck. I didn't blame mother nature so after 4 hours of sleep, we hit the trails. I really love, love the trails. Views are spectacular, the campsites are really cleaned, and our restroom facilities were decently taken care of. My only complaint, and no fault of the park, is the heat. There is absolutely no shade anywhere at all. If you hiked all morning, don't even think about coming back to your campsite until sundown. You can't rest anywhere. Your best best is to drive to Terlingua and sit on the Starlight porch during the hottest part of the day. Overall, I loved the park, loved the solitude, loved the bortle 1 sky, loved the views everywhere, just didnt love the Suns shennanigans
