The sites are VERY close together and virtually none of them are level, so know that going in. We were in a RTT, and the level would have been harsh, were it not for the blocks that I brought.
Other than that, it was great. The crowd, and it was FULL, was great. Super quiet. It was incredibly windy, but whatever.

Big Bend has a lot to offer between the desert and mountain trails. The Chisos Basin campground was great, beautiful location, and convenience of the store nearby was also a plus.

Besides getting double booked on the second site we booked and having to give it up to the other guy who got their first, this campsite was spectacular & clean! They did give us a different spot that was nice & the camp host was kind, but ngl it left a bad taste not getting the one we wanted after planning all those weeks in advance.

Wonderful campground, spectacular hikes and an amazing night sky. Our MUST DO hikes would be the Window and Lost Mine.
The food at the lodge was excellent in quality and price. We will stay here again when in the area.

Gorgeous location. Site was perfect for us. We had a fox come by in the evening and we could hear javalinas at night outside our tent. The night sky is unbelievable 🤩

Loved it but had a campground incident at 5:30 am one morning with 2 women who were talking very loud and woke everyone up. We attended the coffee with a ranger program and loved it. Very informative about recycling and the park. So great to hear about all that is happening and future steps to address these issues.

Great camp site facing the mountains. Small site, so best for just one tent. Nice to have shade covering. Very quiet, even with being right across from wonderful camp hosts.
