We loved our stay at Cranes Mill Park! The staff was wonderful to work with! The park has the best (and I mean best) campsites we've been to! The pads are nice and level with concrete borders. The picnic tables with a roof are the best!! Lastly, the park is absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed touring the the "Hill Country" of Texas. And yes, we will be back! Great park!

First few days was perfect. Nice warm weather. Trike riding was really good. Birds and wildlife were abundant. Then winter happened. Miserable! Ice, snow extremely cold. The park staff came through again. They were wonderful.

Conditions were a little rough due to snow, ice, and frozen water lines, but the camp hosts went way above and beyond to make our weeklong stay as enjoyable as possible. Most pleasant and helpful hosts we've experienced.

We were taking our travel trailer for its first outing so we don't have a lot to compare to. But our experience was great starting with check-in at the entrance through check out the next day. The park overall was nice and quiet and there were paths to walk along the lake. We will definitely be going back again.

This is a beautiful park. Really nice covered picnic tables and neat sites. Loved seeing deer from the campsite. Bathrooms very clean. Traveled to San Antonio and Fredericksburg.

I very much dislike the 3:00 check in. This is particularly upsetting when the site you have reserved does not have anyone in it, and did not the night before. I arrived early around 2:00 pm and was made to set outside the gate until 2:45 before being let in. In the winter getting in, set up and getting dinner, before dark is difficult. On the day of checkout when our traveling continued, like MANY others, I was out by 10:00 am. I really think a 1:00 out and 2:00 in would be the maximum times.

We were in site 18. Slight incline at the site causing us to have to raise the front of the trailer (27') to make sure it was level. Overall not a major problem, just a little uncomfortable with front raised higher than normal. The site was clean of litter but there was dog food spilled in the picnic table area that our dog quickly found and decided to scarf up (we ended up raking the area so it was out of reach). Restroom and showers very clean and the water was hot with good water pressure. It gets quite dark at night which makes for excellent star gazing! We already have plans to return!

Horrible check in procedure, waiting till 3pm exactly, creating a long line at gate. Most rv's leave by noon at the latest, couldn't check in start then? Or give window of time so not so many are trying to enter at once?
Huge number, maybe 100 or so, of tent camping sites with water and electric at each site, and none being used. The rv circle of about 30 sites full majority of the time. Would be very low cost to convert some tent sites and double the rv sites which are so in demand.
Park was clean and neat, restrooms also.
