gorgeous gorgeous view!
though my visit was short, i greatly enjoyed walking on the long road area that overlooks the lake.
this was a quick pit stop— somewhere i could stretch my legs, but gosh how i wish to have known about it before, i would’ve definitely made more time to come and explore it!
there’s lots of perfectly placed benches, tress with awesome shade, and a restroom are

Easy access to boat ramps and lots of parking. It's a great lake to catch large and smallmouth bass from shore or a kayak or boat.

Canyon Lake is great spot to get out of the house and enjoy the Texas hill country. Plenty of parks and free areas are available to all. If you like water most beaches are open to the public with small entry fee. Boats, boats and boats! If you own a boat there are almost 20 ramps to choose from and three marina's to keep your toy. Rentals are also available at each marina. When you're on the lake the fishing is excellent with a wide variety of fish to be caught . Need to get your party on? Party cove is the place to be on most weekends. Plenty of space to park in the cove, float or jump from the cliffs. Overall, the best lake in the San Antonio area.
