The free breakfast sandwich is handmade to order at the Trading Post and was delicious. Make no mistake, there’s no sink, no toilet, no running water. Definitely a walk to the campground toilets.

Excellent place to stay! Level above true glamping! We loved the amenities these “tents” had, especially the s’mores! They had games available for us, which was so helpful since there is no cell service here. The view is amazing! It will not disappoint!
Be aware there are no bathrooms at the sites and they are quite a distance to walk, especially in the middle of the night but we were expecting that. We opted for the free breakfast which was delicious!
There’s lots of wildlife here as well, including wild Turkey and tarantulas! The hammock was the best and the beds were super comfortable! Highly recommend!

We take groups here annually and booked for our family a few weekends ago. We always take our own restroom bucket from previous times and I haul it off myself. The bucket is currently in our garage from that trip and I hauled the waste to the trash that morning. Called today as we never received our deposit. The lady was super rude, said she had photos, and refused to give us our $100 deposit saying we used and left the waste bucket. I recommend this place to so many people. Never again. She clearly had us mixed up with another cabin.

Amazing place to stay! We were only there for one night to see Texas, and this was much easier than packing all the usual camping necessities. It was spacious and well equipped. Family of 6 and we took full advantage of the fridge, microwave, coffee maker (with all the supplies), propane grill and fire pit, nice covered porch with fun seating, plus so many fun games like corn hole and connect 4. There were even extra chairs to pull out when our family staying nearby came over for s’mores (supplies provided). LOVED that all extra bedding for the futon and towels and wash cloths were provided. There was also a bag of ice and jug of water included, plus bug spray, sunscreen, paper towels, hand sanitizer, hand soap, and sanitizer. We also took our 2 dogs and they enjoyed having the a/c and semi fenced yard which gave them a little boundary. The included ice cream and breakfast is yummy at the nearby Trading Post. We were in D and the walk to the bathroom was a little far, but manageable. If you have mobility issues or a tiny bladder, I would recommend trying for cabin A or B as they are closer to the Trading Post which has a bathroom you can use during their open hours and those cabins are also closer to the parking lot if you decide to drive to the nearby bathroom/shower area. The trail to the cabins is easily wheelchair friendly as it is well maintained and only one slight incline at the start. Another perk, to add to ALL the others, is the included wagon use which makes unloading a breeze. Seriously, this is a great place to stay and the views are breathtaking! The cabin is also beautifully decorated. Stay there, you won’t regret it!! Yes, there is no bathroom (you can pay the $8 and use the camping toilet), but they are very upfront about that and it’s not that big of a hassle unless you just want to be in your room the whole time. It was pricey, but with the added perks and benefit of being down in the canyon and near trails, we felt it was very fairly priced!

Everything was great! We had a great time here!! I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews on this gem.
Check in was super easy, they even provide free breakfast and ice cream. We were so busy hiking, we forgot to come claim them though!!! 😭
Sites are dog friendly and spaced out from neighbors. Fridge and microwave and grill are included, but we brought our own camp cookware too just in case.
There is a trail right next to our campsite. The heat worked really well because it kept us toasty when it was 25 degrees outside 🥶. There are bathrooms and showers nearby in the next campground over. The staff was also super friendly and hospitable. Thank you for having us!! 😃
