It’s called hideout for a reason! I hate to leave a review and spill the secret of BRH. We’ve camped two years in a row, this spot is a true gem.

If you want camp because you like that feeling of getting away from the craziness of the city and suburbs, BRH is for you.

It’s a cozy and safe campground. On its busiest, every spot is full kind of days, it feels like you’re camping with friends.

The property is incredibly beautiful. I’m so thankful the owners share this Texas gift with others.

Special shout out to camp host Ryan who is the hardest working camp host I’ve ever met. I watched Ryan check in on campers, making her rounds around the property, taking care of folks and literally going above and beyond.

We enjoyed our stay greatly. The Camp Manager, Ryan, was beyond helpful and went the extra mile for her customers. She had a plethora of knowledge and was always making sure we were ok and taken care of; even taking care of a snake for us. My only recommendations would be to update the kayaks & maybe make a little drive around the dump station. Beautiful, beautiful, property!

It’s a great place to camp. RV and Tent sites right on the river. Friendly and helpful staff. There are paths that lead down to the river bed but don’t take your vehicles down there. I kinda learned that the hard way. Fortunately I didn’t go too far.

Peaceful, non-crowded getaway. We booked this place at the last minute on our spring break and were afraid we were going to be disappointed. But we definitely were not at all! This place is tucked away in the country on a nice little stretch of river away from town. RV sites are spacious with a caliche landing pad, electric and water hookups, a fire ring with cooking grate, a picnic table and either trees or an awning for shade. The river beach is literally less than 100 yards from every site here...ours is riverfront. They have tube and kayaks you can rent for river fun. Fishing is also allowed. They have a descent little bath-laundry house as well with 2 individual bathrooms & showers. We booked online about 2 PM, arrived about 6 PM the same day and the office was closed (as expected). We had received an email to check-in about 3 which we filled out and that's all it took. There is a sign posted at the office saying you must stop and check in and a phone number to notify management you've arrived. We didn't see the phone number 🤦‍♂️ The next day the grounds lady came by to check on us and give us paperwork...SUPER friendly gal! All in all, a very nice place and we will likely return when it warms up a bit...to get away and enjoy the river. ❤️
