This is a large, well-landscaped campground with many attractive campsites. However, the bathroom and shower facilities are well below the standards that we normally encounter in public campgrounds. The restrooms have flush toilets and showers but are lacking in normal amenities such as sinks, hand-soap, trash receptacles and heaters. There is no equivalent of a campground host to help deal with minor issues that may arise. During the day, Park Rangers patrol the campground in trucks, but in the evening there is no monitoring of compliance with burn bans, off-leash dogs, quiet hours, etc.

Excellent park for all ages and children. Campsites have nice covers and tables as well as water and electricity if so desired. Lots of oak trees for shade on the hotter days.

In the last 23 days, we’ve stayed in 6 parks, I have to say that this is my favorite park so far.
The site is roomy with lots of shade trees with a lakefront view (even though the lake is WAY down). Sites are not on top of each other.
There were a few people here when we arrived, but never heard a peep out of them.
The peace & quiet that we’ve experienced in this park is beyond words. Relaxation at its best!
When we come back, we’ll either get the same site, #42 (even though it’s a 30 amp) or #76.

Very peaceful in the middle of February. Deer and coyotes roaming around. Lake level has been very low for a few years so no water activities allowed.

Very few people at the park due to the lake being down so low. Well maintained and most site have large groves of old growth live oaks. Very quiet, and a large population of deer. Bath and shower facility in campground area however is old and has no sink for washing hands after using restroom. Very strange.
