The Retreat on the Hill

I stayed at The Stardome and the views were amazing. However, I was not able to enjoy the outside patio/deck seating area after dark. There was no lighting on the outside. The provided lantern/light was non functional. This was very disappointing, as I had hoped to sit outside and enjoy the night. I reached out to the provided cellphone contact number and did not receive any followup regarding my request for lighting.

Our stay at The Retreat on the Hill in the Mirror House did not meet expectations. We were not informed that the WiFi was down, and there was no lock on the room door where our personal belongings were kept, which was a significant security concern.

Although the Mirror House gate has a keypad entry system, it can easily be opened by reaching over and manually turning the lock from the inside. This undermines the purpose of the keypad entirely. Overall, security did not appear to be a priority for this space. There were also spiders and other bugs entering the unit, with no appropriate bug spray provided.

When we sought assistance at the office, we were told they could not help and were redirected to text the property manager. None of the listed contacts that were provided prior to check-in responded, despite stated availability from 9am–6pm. However, the property manager did respond to what we believe was her personal number and confirmed that the WiFi was down and that the main gate “locked”, so that was her “reassurance” that our belongs would be safe.

While the concept and setting are beautiful, communication, safety measures, and customer service need significant improvement.

Service: This was a planned Valentine’s Day getaway. Purchased some add ons in January. Personally I stress when things I plan don’t go as planned. Thankfully when I reached out Meghan was on it and she something was missing she corrected right away. The fact I reached out to her late at night voicing my concern and then when I checked in she was amazing through in and through out. So thank you so much Meghan for your exceptional service!
Stay: it was an amazing experience, we enjoyed every minute of it! We honestly feel so relaxed and happy. We definitely will be returning! We had so much fun and we wish we could stay longer if we could. Definitely will recommend this place to everyone! See you later Retreat on a Hill, you were amazing! 🤍

We had an amazing stay! The views were stunning. It was a somewhat chilly night and they had two space heaters on both sides of the bed, which was nice. It was very quiet and peaceful. We stayed in the loft bird nest facing the water. There was an upstairs loft that made for even better views. Highly recommended and we’ll be back.

Our experience at The Retreat On The Hill was such a beautiful experience!! I took my girlfriend here for her birthday. Whenever we needed help with something, Greg would respond immediately, no matter the time and he even came to help us a few times as well! The views were beautiful! Restaurants had great food. All around 100/10 experience, will come back to visit when it gets warmer out!
