What Guests Are Saying
Liberty Hill at Navarro Mills Lake is praised for its beautiful scenery, friendly staff, and well-maintained cabins, making it a favorite for many visitors who appreciate its peaceful atmosphere. However, some guests noted issues with tall grass, cleanliness of facilities, and maintenance of certain sites, which could benefit from more attention. Overall, the park remains a popular destination for family gatherings and outdoor activities, with many guests expressing their intention to return.

We always have enjoyed camping at Liberty Hill . The campground is split into two sections as you enter the park. We enjoy camping on the right side after entering. This area has multiple bath houses in case you don't want to fill your camper's holding tanks. The swimming area is also in this section of the campground. It is sandy, traffic controlled from watercraft, and safe for swimmers and non swimmers. Most of the campsites are spread apart so that you are not right beside someone else. There are several boat ramps , with floating docks.
I only have a couple of dislikes. One; the newer bath houses are very hot, with almost no air circulation. There are still a couple of older bath houses that are better vented. Second ; there only a handful of sites with sewer hookups.
We will definitely camp there again.

If you're looking forward to antiques shopping in nearby Hubbard, Texas, just know that all such stores are closed on Mondays!

We had site 22 and the ground was full of trash, the fire pit was full of trash and ashes and the picnic table and both concrete areas were covered with what looked like oil and/or grease all over them. It also needed mowing around the camping area. The location and the view were the only positives about the site. Walking around the loop, I also noticed that many fire pits were overgrown with grass inside of them, thus making them useless to use for their purpose. I think we will stick with State Parks.

I’m almost afraid to leave a good review because I don’t want this place to get any better for anyone else but me!!! Let me just brag on the destination of a camp ground location. They are clean! They are well maintained! They go the extra mile keeping the grounds clean! Bathrooms cleaned! Showers scary because I hate spiders but clean! I wish I would of brought a broom just to help keep it clean for them. But I honestly didn’t expect how nice it was to have a shelter for cover, plenty of trees. Safe area for kids to swim. A great clean playground. The family paddle boarded all over. The boats had plenty of space to be able to have fun tubbing times! Fishing is wonderful. I also love that the camp grounds keeps safety 100% in mind. They patrol to make sure people keep the rules maintained❤️this is a new family favorite and will be booking my next trip very soon!
