What Guests Are Saying
Platter Flats is praised for its cleanliness, convenient bathroom facilities, and beautiful views, particularly from the B loop overlooking Lake Texoma. Guests appreciate the quiet atmosphere, helpful staff, and well-maintained grounds, making it a favorite camping destination. Some minor issues include noise from other campers and the need for maintenance on picnic tables and ant control, but overall, visitors express a desire to return.

This is my 2nd favorite park to camp and fish since I can beach my boat, and the sites are level and have great views. I would have given my stay 5 stars, but...... I got site B12 and it just happens the wind was blowing smell from the gravity toilet to my campsite! Luckily the wind changed direction soon after arriving.

It was a great experience! Quiet campground with lots of space. Boat ramp and dock was clean with lots of room and light. Plenty of sandy beach and deep water for bank fishing. I only visited the B side. Only drawback was 1 of 2 bathrooms was closed and water was turned off at campsite for winter months. America the Beautiful passes are valid for this campground.

Platter Flats has been a special place to me for many years. I started camping there when things were still first come first serve. The folks that care for this place do an amazing job and the trails are top notch. The showers are hot and the horse pens are stout. I did have to spend time cleaning out my horse pens upon arrival so please, as a courtesy to others, clean out your horse pens before you leave. It does get crazy busy now in the summer so reserve early. I prefer camping after the days shorten and the temps fall. I do feel blessed to have Platter Flats so close to home.
