What Guests Are Saying
Platter Flats is praised for its cleanliness, convenient bathroom facilities, and beautiful views, particularly from the B loop overlooking Lake Texoma. Guests appreciate the quiet atmosphere, helpful staff, and well-maintained grounds, making it a favorite camping destination. Some minor issues include noise from other campers and the need for maintenance on picnic tables and ant control, but overall, visitors express a desire to return.

Park was neat and clean. Everything worked. No complaints. The hiking/horse trails were well marked.

Equestrian campground is nice. You should bring your own means of getting manure to the one dump area, the wheel burrow onsite is useless. The manure dump area was overflowing. The camp host is breeding cats! It’s ridiculous! The cats were everywhere! At least 15! They leave about 7 food bowls outside. The cats run all over marking and peeing on anything you leave outside! The cats annoy the campers dogs and horses. Luckily our horses didn’t step on or kick them when they were entering their stalls.

Quiet and a little off the beaten path. New campsites are nice! Older ones on gravel are challenging to level rigs like ours with no automatic levelers, but most have nice shade and fishing dock is nice. Staff does an amazing job keeping restrooms and showers almost spotless!

Platter has been our go to camp ground but I'm not sure we'll be going back... our first morning there we were approached by the care taker saying we need to keep our dogs leashed, but we saw 10 other people with dogs.... none of which were on a leash. Our 3 dogs were 2 pits and a small terrier mix breed (all of which are very loving, well behaved dogs) They weren't even given a chance due to their looks... I believe we will find somewhere else to camp from now on
