Great Escapes RV Park at Elgin

I recently stayed at the Great Escapes RV resort in Elgin Texas, while working near by.. let me say I really enjoyed staying there.. very nice rv park with a super friendly staff.. very peaceful to stay and enjoy with family. Will definitely return.

What a wonderful little community! Nice huge serene pond in middle, picnic table for each space, clean, well kept, looks like the folks who live here appreciate keeping the property nice. Beautiful curbside appeal too. Only thing that bothered me was as a delivery driver, there are no directional signs to find which space you need. Like unit 1-50

Overall a quiet and nice place to stay. The amenities were very clean and well kept. The biggest concern we dealt with was that the trash dumpsters were always full and overflowing. In addition, there were several weekends that the pool was closed due to private events - frustrating because we paid for the amenities as part of our rent, but we couldn’t use them on those days.

Great Escapes RV Resort in Elgin is one of the best RV parks I’ve stayed at! The staff is wonderful and the park is extremely clean. Beautiful pond in the center, nice swimming pool, and a great dog park. They also have covered BBQ areas with tables, sinks, counters, and BBQ pits which makes it perfect for relaxing.
There’s even a gift shop and they host events like live music (Austin Gilliam on April 25!) in their event room.
If you’re looking for a top-notch RV resort, this is the place. Highly recommend!

It was a nice place to stay for the month of November 2025. Well designed and spacious spaces. Jessica is doing an amazing job managing the Park. I wish Great Escapes had a Park near Galveston.
