We use Bardwell because it is close. The old marina is an eye sore and needs to be removed. I think it is time for some upgrades. Still better than Waxahachie creek!

This place is close that's the plus. The sites are very unlevel. There is zero trees for shade. We got a place right by the water and the people near us was catching catfish and leaving them dead in the water.

The bathrooms are clean and it's nice to have individual bathrooms with hot water for the showers. Staff is friendly. Lot 12 is the best lot with the most shade. Before you book go check them out.

The best thing about this campground is that you get your own bathroom with a locking door that is THOROUGHLY cleaned EVERY DAY!

It fills up on the weekends, but campers are sparse on the weekdays. Most all the sites have a water view. The gate stays open and the staff maintains the park regularly.

I rode my bike into Ennis for the bluebonnet festival. I also paddled my kayak up the creek about a mile west of camp.

I had the place to myself during the weekdays. The weekends are bustling. There are four private bathrooms. They are restocked and clean thoroughly every morning. I rode my bike into Ennis to attend the bluebonnet festival. I also kayak about a mile upstream. I saw road runners. I heard owls and turkeys. There must be a farm nearby. A very enjoyable stay!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful lake setting with large campsite areas. Quiet campground. Clean bathrooms. Showers did spill over on the floor a bit. We thought we were going to need to make an adjustment in our camping nights. The staff was open to helping us make changes, but it turned out that our original plan worked out. We appreciated the effort.
