Lake Palestine Resort North

The cabin was perfect. Clean and well stocked with amenities and very peaceful!

I am not sure if this is run by Holiday Inn anymore, but I stayed here during fourth of July 2026 and it was a great choice. I knocked one star only because there was a couple things that need to be touched up in our cabin. 1) One of the drawers in the bedroom were completely broken, 2) the pipe that supplied the water to the shower was corroded at the bathtub connection, and 3) the mirrors... IYKYK.
Other than that, my friends and I are coming back. It has SO many activities for family's.
The customer service also treated me and my friends like family. so much kindness and patience with city people.

DO NOT GO HERE. HORRIBLY MANAGED AND MAINTAINED. The AC was leaking in the bathroom, the pullout bed/couch was absolutely unbearable to sleep on, the silverware and dishes were dirty and the WiFi was near-useless. An incident occurred regarding a fender-bender in parking lot with one of our friends and an employee’s car and the general manager was unbearably rude. He demanded a result while the group was attempting to get the friends’ father and refused to let us call a sheriff to help without being kicked off the property. This entire private business is incredibly dirty and managed by rude and incompetent people. The general manager demanded money without any sort of legal involvement and kicked us out with only 20 minutes to evacuate the property. He was incredibly rude to us all as we were attempting to find a solution, even referring to the friend as a sir despite the friend being clearly a female.

Was very excited to try this place but was let down very quickly. At the North campground, access to lake was difficult. Steep banks that were overgrown with brush. I ended up leaving a pellet pistol in cabin when we checked out and it magically disappeared.. This after speaking to three employees who stated they had it and would hold it.. Owner of property is unreachable.. Made two trips back over and numerous phone calls and still out a very pricey pellet pistol.. Will not be returning.

Love Lake Palestine Resort. Love to see all the work they have done on the property. The staff is so nice & always willing to bend over backwards to help. Can't wait to see what the future holds for them!
