This park needs serious attention
One half of the toilets in the men’s room were out of order and according to some staff had been for some time
Plumbing at the restrooms near the boat ramp have been pieced together in a patchwork nightmare instead of being properly replaced
It would be nice if a 50 percent refund were available for the 50 percent loss of plumbing use.
Won’t be going there again.
Would expect better from the corp of engineers

A very good dark park for star gazing. Not listed as a dark park but I was able to see all planets, constellations, and 6 satellites per night.

4

Great place overall. The only small detail, I was tent camping and there was a lot of light shining all night.

5

Beautiful place. It would be nice if they could add some primitive campsites, for not as much. If you are camping in a tent you still have to pay the RV price, which is not good. Paid $52 for two nights in a tent.

April is a tough time to visit because of the weather shifting on a dime.. This last visit was an absolute downpour for a couple of days (The creek and lake rose dramatically). Most of the campsites opposite the lake side were flooded. There were a lot more mosquitos than usual. And at any time of year this park can be very windy. This last visit I also picked up some unwanted guests - ants crawled up my jack stands and decided to set up shop. Took a few days to get them all out. But it's a quiet park and usually not too bad. Not a park to visit for swimming and playing in the lake. No playground equipment for kids. This is basically a locals fishing spot. This park has excellent camp hosts every single one of them friendly and accommodating. Please do not use the fire rings as a garbage can! The dumpsters are visible right in the center of the park. There is no reason to leave garbage at a campsite and especially plastic waste. The boat ramp works but the dock is in really bad shape and has been closed for quite some time so you'll need to get into your boat from the ramp.
