Camp sights are well spread out and grass was maintained.
Restrooms appeared to have not been cleaned in some time with the doors locked open and windows without screens. Lots of bugs in the restrooms due to their attraction to the light after sunset. One of two showers worked in the men's side with a pushbutton timer. Water was way too hot in the shower, close to scalding.
Beach area was locked off for the winter season, this was our primary reason for camping here.

Camp sites spread out so that you’re not right on top of your neighbors. Easy reservation.

Love the park, had a great time, but I always feel awkward when there is no one at the gate house, and I don't want to bother hosts at their RV sites. I tried calling in the hopes to let them know we were there, I wish there was a geolocation method of checking in electronically, or a check in QR code at the gate (only a pay QR).

A very quiet and peaceful campground to spend a weekend, a week or two just to unwind from work. Plenty of room to take a stroll - walking or riding your bike. We wished the weather would have cooled down a bit more - as even for October it was still warm. We love going to Wilson H Fox, this trip was our 3rd time here. We will return for another quiet camping trip. Hope you enjoy your camping trip as much as we do.

I was rather disappointed with the site (#6) we were in. The site was riddled with trash left over from what looked to be a child's birthday party or something similar. There was even pink and blue silly string everywhere. Bits of trash all around the picnic table and in the fire pit. I wish people would show a lot more respect for these camp grounds and other people in general. Other than the complete disrespect the previous campers showed for this site, the overall experience wasn't bad. There was access to the lake from this site through a trail back through the woods but the bank it ends up at was very small and inclined so putting a chair out there to fish was not really feasible.
Site #6 is slightly unlevel. It is high at the front and angles downward towards the rear of the site. Power was really good. The shade in this site was great in the evenings and mornings until about 9am when the sun comes up over the trees. During the day there is no shade above you so an awning or easy up is a good idea. There is plenty of wildlife in the area right now (October). We had several deer and all kinds of birds visit us. An armadillo even explored around the tree line just behind us. It was fun to watch.
I have always come back to Wilson Fox park, have been for a very long time. Just wish people would treat this park with respect and that the COE would give this park some much needed attention for future generations to enjoy.
