My kids and us loved it! The lake was great, even our dog just dived right in. Everyone was catching lots of bass. Got to see deer, raccoons, and armadillo. The bathrooms were right in the center of the loop, not far. Will be returning soon!

I always enjoy camping here. The only thing I would like to see change is the bathrooms. The toilets are disgusting. They are always like this every time I come. The build up is terrible and you can tell they haven’t been cleaned in months let alone every week. One of the sinks have been broken for years. You can’t turn on the water. I would love to see that get fixed. Only other complaint I have is that the tables and shelf under pavilions all need a good cleaning. My shelf area was disgusting. So if you camp here, make sure to bring a water hose to clean your area in case it’s over looked.

This is a beautiful park with so much potential; however, we have noticed on our last few visits that the sites have not been clean or well kept with trash being at the site, and bird, wasp, and spider nests being all in the enclosures. Additionally, on our last walk down to the fishing pier there was trash everywhere. Not just a little trash, a lot of trash. A tree was down over the cement stairway leading to the pier making it impassable without walking off into the dirt. The tree looked like it had been there for some time. The trash really ruined the beauty of the natural environment. First off, we blame the people who throw their trash around and secondly, this park needs some clean up crews. There is a lot of open space between the sites and the lawn areas are kept fairly well-groomed so I would say just get some clean up done and we would give this 5 stars.

Seems like campground increasingly neglected. Trash on campsite along with wasp’s nests on cabana. Spider webs everywhere and the patio looks like it has not been touched in years. Pressure washing would help. Camp host should be renamed to camp squatters.

We arrived before the time to check in (3:00). We were meeting other family that day at the swimming area around the cove. When we entered there was no attendant in the entrance booth. So, we passed on thru figuring the attendant would come around to check us in later. We spent the day with family & later in the day we were ready to go to the cabin, but we did not know the combination to the lock on the cabin. We went to the front gate house & nobody was still there.
We checked at the attendant's trailer & still no one. We were finally able to see an attendant driving around later & were able to get into the cabin. The rest of the day/evening & next day/evening was uneventful. The following morning, we were woken with a heavy rainstorm. The cabin had a large leak in one corner of the cabin that wet our clothes & other things we had in that corner. We have been coming to the same cabins for maybe four years & have never had this problem & it has previously rained for days at these same cabins. We also made mention to the attendant about the ceiling fan not working in the cabin. We were told that "a work order had been made." The restrooms as well were not as well maintained as on our previous visits. One of the restrooms had a toilet stuck on flush the whole time or run constantly the two 1/2 days we were there as well as another toilet had the same problem. The toilet paper had run out or was wet. We have always had a great time at this park & never had these issues. It seemed the amount of care for this park has dropped a bit. We will give it ago still in the near future hoping that it has been upgraded to the previous standards we have experienced in the years prior to this one. The parks had never disappointed before, so we were surprised. We had a great time otherwise in the swimming area & met some great people as well. The starry evenings did not disappoint as well as the curious wildlife that tried to visit us in late evening as we sat outside our cabin. TY
