Renegade 38ft with Jeep in tow - on I20 near Merkel,Texas, dark and heavy traffic. We opted to find a RV Park overnight. The park is convenient but far enough away there is no inside RV highway noise. We did hear a train but not bad. Park was easy to find & staff were +AAA nice & friendly. What you’d expect for West Texas! They went beyond though. Easy in and large concrete pad. Nice utilities. Pull thru for the night with Jeep left in tow. Lighted areas. All of this for $35! This is a deal !

We stopped for an overnight stop on the way to Colorado for our anniversary trip. The host, Jane, was so kind and accommodating, meeting us quite a bit outside of office hours to get us checked in and make sure we were set up. She even moved us to a spot with a view. We planned on leaving really early but stayed a while to watch the sun come up. Can't complain about a wake up view like this.
The grounds are clean and very well structured. We stayed in an uncovered spot and had no issues. Water pressure was great and connections were all clean and placed well. Thank you again for the perfect stay. This is definitely going on my list of favorite stops on this route.

We stayed at Tin Cup on Jan 7, 2025 for 4 nights, site 1B.
It is a newer park with concrete pads, water, sewer and 50 amp. The bathroom and laundry facility is all in one building and very clean and modern. The host, Jane, is very helpful and friendly. She responded quickly to my texts.
Merkel is about 15 min drive to Abilene which has all the stores/supplies you would need.
I would definitely recommend staying at this park.

This is a good RV spot. Some sites are covered, even if a little dusty due to rain being scarce. The staff here is very friendly and the price for spots is good. The spots are all concrete slabs and a decent amount of space. Highly recommend for a stay whether overnight or longer.

- Very neat/tidy and relaxing. Very convenient to Interstate 20 with easy on/off. No issues getting largest rigs into CG and any site.
- Most of the sites seem to be for longer stays, but there are no trashy rigs on any site.
- Covered sites were NOT designed by someone that uses an RV, certainly not a 5th wheel. There is a pole, supporting the roof, that is centered on pad. We had to move our rig back, so doorway steps would not hit that pole. Now our bike rack, on back of rig, sticks out and front is within the roof by 8 or so feet.
- The lower roof, possibly to put tow vehicle under, has poles that are too close together to get the truck into it. Certainly not with tow mirrors.
- Park is smallish, but plenty big enough to maneuver large rigs.
- Proximity to Interstate 20 is less than a mile.
- Largest town, Abilene, is around 10 miles east. All the bigger stores are there.
- There are laundry machines in the back of office, maybe 5 washers, 5 dryers ? (I glanced, but did not count)
Directly across the highway is a small place to eat. It was empty when we arrived and am happy we tried it. We loved the food! Camp host recommended it. Its called "Skeet's Texas Grill"
