We wanted to love our 3-night visit but cannot give it more than a 4 star review. Site was great (#009) and view was Amazing! (It was on us to not know that we were in the airport landing flight paths - no quiet time) Dealbreaker was the bathhouses, which were the most unclean we have ever camped at. So Bad! We looked at multiple bathhouses to see if there was another better and were SO disappointed. No effort to modernize and no effort to clean at all. Bugs/spiders/ trash/smell /no ventilation nor air conditioning - metal toilets !!!!! There was NO way we could use any of the facilities in the bath houses. Ending on a bad note was that there was only 1 dump station, even though you could park on both sides - only one drain. We were 3rd in line and when we left there were 4 in line behind us. We will not be coming back, which disappoints us so much, as the lake and sites are fantastic. Improving these 2 issues would make all the difference for us.

Beautiful park. Love camping and hiking there. Sure would be nice to have toilet seats and soap dispensers.

Nice park with lots of great camp sites. We have family in Dallas and have stayed many times to visit them. Be aware of the entrance gate closing at 10pm. One night we got back a little late and had to leave car outside the park and walk in to our campsite.

Nice quiet park. We did not care for our site 88. It was our fault for not looking how close IH35 is from this site. You could hear the highway noise all day and night since interstate was maybe 1/4 across the lake from this particular loop. If we would stay at this park again, we would choose a loop on the other side of the park so that we wouldn't see or hear IH35.
