Bathrooms are ok but not cleaned properly. Not really any hot water in showers. We were going to be arrive the following day that our reservation began and tried call all day, probly 20 times to let them know. Not once did they answer. Very strick on the check in time. Don't try to come even 15 minutes early.

Great place except they lost power to our section and had to.cancel and rebook. Power outage was Oncor issue and it lasted longer than promised.

Friendly staff and grounds well kept.
BATHROOMS ARE ATROCIOUS!! Desperately need remodeling which you know is common in RV settings so I wouldn’t let that keep you away.
Didn’t use boat facilities however the ramps looked well maintained.
Will definitely go back …….. in fact I’m headed back this month.
The shaded sites have large established trees.
Now get out there and get to camping!

Power was out for 3 days at hickory creek. We were asked to leave our campsite. We were able to book another campsite for one night. Were only credited for one night, but should have received a credit for all three.

On May 23rd our power kept dropping. And the Saturday afternoon when we tried to prepare dinner it we went out completely. They tried to get power back on but we were told we would not get power until the 25th or 26th. By that time it was to late to relocate. We were lucky it was a cooler night and could sleep some before moving. Fortunately I got on site and could book for the next few nights in the last site available in the park. But to do that and get my discount I had to cancel remaining nights. I did receive a $15 refund but had to pay $10 to cancel remaking night.
Part of our party had to leave because couldn't stay with out AC in their RV.
We felt like the park should have been better prepared for that kind of situation. We reported earlier in the day there was a problem and we feel if it would have been addressed at that time it could have been taken care of before it got so bad.

When traveling North on I-35E, take exit 458A toward Swisher Rd/FM-2181 onto S stemmons Fwy. Continue onto N Stemmons Fwy toward Hundley Dr/Turbeville Rd. Turn right on to N Lake Dallas Dr towards Hundley Dr/Turbeville Rd. Turn sharp right onto W Hundley Dr towards Hickory Creek. Continue on Turbeville Rd, and turn left onto Point Vista Rd. After 0.5 miles, Hickory Creek Campground will be on the right.
When traveling South on I-35E, take exit 457 toward Lake Dallas Dr onto Stemmons Fwy. Then, take ramp towards Turbeville Rd/Hundley Dr/Hickory Creek. Turn left onto Turbeville Rd towards Hickory Creek. Turn left onto Point Vista Rd. After 0.5 miles, Hickory Creek Campground will be on the right.
Hickory Creek Campground is accessible via I-35E, with exit 458A providing direct access to the area. The campground is located approximately 0.5 miles from the nearest access point on Turbeville Rd.

Policies & Rules
General
- Check in starts at 3:00pm. No early check-in. You may be asked to wait OUTSIDE of park if you arrive early.
- The park gate closes at 10pm and there is no entry/re-entry until 6am. Exit gate will open in case of emergency. There is NO code for the gate. Please plan accordingly.
- No fireworks, firearms or chainsaws allowed
- No off-road vehicles allowed, including golf carts.
- Primitive sites are CLOSED at this time.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- Campers are alloted 14 days in a 30 day period. Without authorization ANY attempts to circumvent system such as but not limited to changing reservation details may result in the revocation of any current and or future reservations.
- Pets must be on a physical restraint no longer than 6ft at all times. Pets may not be left unattended or unsupervised at any time. This includes being left outside on restraint while you're in your tent/camper/rv.
- STOP THE SPREAD OF INVASIVE SPECIES. Remove plants, seeds, animals, and mud from boots, gear, pets, and vehicles. Clean your gear before entering and leaving the recreation site. Stay on designated roads and trails, and follow local guidelines for firewood. CLEAN, DRAIN, DRY boats and any other recreational equipment that contacts water.
