Facilities were nice. Good tree cover and space between individual sites. The fact the gates close and a code is not given to enter late was a gigantic pain. Dallas is huge and has a lot of traffic. We had to leave the house we were visiting very early to be back inside the gate on time.
Other than that, I will say that quiet hours are not enforced, but if the folks expected to monitor are in an RV with the A/C and TV going, there’s no way they could hear other sites are being noisy (it’s just other tents/small campers that hear).

We have stayed at this campground several times and have enjoyed our stay each time. The sites are spacious with asphalt pads. Most have water access and some shade. The bathrooms/showers are a little dated and could use some upgrades. Verizon and AT&T have good signal along with OTA TV channels. Places to eat and shop are close and easy to get to.

Overall we’ve always enjoyed our visits here. Conveniently located near grocery stores including WalMart and restaurants. Quiet and relatively clean restroom facilities. I wish they had a playground for the kids and a double dump station. Staff is always nice

When traveling North on I-35E, take exit 458A toward Swisher Rd/FM-2181 onto S stemmons Fwy. Continue onto N Stemmons Fwy toward Hundley Dr/Turbeville Rd. Turn right on to N Lake Dallas Dr towards Hundley Dr/Turbeville Rd. Turn sharp right onto W Hundley Dr towards Hickory Creek. Continue on Turbeville Rd, and turn left onto Point Vista Rd. After 0.5 miles, Hickory Creek Campground will be on the right.
When traveling South on I-35E, take exit 457 toward Lake Dallas Dr onto Stemmons Fwy. Then, take ramp towards Turbeville Rd/Hundley Dr/Hickory Creek. Turn left onto Turbeville Rd towards Hickory Creek. Turn left onto Point Vista Rd. After 0.5 miles, Hickory Creek Campground will be on the right.
