The campground itself is pretty. The space between sites is nice, and there is plenty of trees and shade. The lake views are good and I didn’t experience any issues. The reason for only three stars is twofold. The first is the levelness of the sites, which is poor. My site as well as all those around mine had all are pretty sloped, some to a significant degree. The second issue is the showers. Of the four available in the bathhouse nearby, only two had a usable spray. But worse was how disgusting they were. Dead cockroaches and other bugs. Brown slime and clumps of hair around the drain. Just terrible. The bathrooms needed cleaning and upgrades as well. For health reasons I don’t recommend using them. The host was not the friendliest person either. Not my favorite COE’s park, but not the worst I’ve been in either.
