What Guests Are Saying
Mill Creek offers a beautiful, relaxing environment with friendly park hosts and ample space for family activities, making it a great spot for camping. Many guests appreciate the clean facilities and scenic views of the lake, along with enjoyable playgrounds for children. However, there are concerns about the maintenance of the campground, including uneven sites, overgrown grass, and the need for repairs, which detracts from the overall experience for some visitors.

Mill Creek is the perfect getaway! It’s got plenty of space for big campers, the swimming area is great, and it’s just soooo affordable.

I had a reservation for site 33 for 6 months in advance. We arrived on a Thursday night and the park hosts asked to see my reservation. I showed it to them on the Rec Gov app. They took the number of my reservation, but mentioned they couldn’t find it in the system. They also explained that the park ranger would have to sort it out the next day.
The next morning they came over and said that the park ranger had sent me an email and that I would have to be moving out of my water front spot. I read the email which had a document attached showing that they had cancelled my reservation on 8/14/21 , due to the park being closed down until 12/2/21. I scrolled through the rest of my email and never saw a single message about the park reopening. What’s more upsetting is the RecGov app still showed I had a reservation for the entire Labor Day weekend. I spoke to the park ranger and he was able to move us to an off water site at a discounted price, but the hassle of moving from one site to the other after 1 night, not to mention believing we had a spot on the water for 6 months.
Here’s where it gets interesting. I receive another email that says my reservation was cancelled because the park closed from 8/14/21 to 8/15/21. So the question is if that’s the case, why should a reservation starting 9/2/ 21 be cancelled?
Makes zero sense to me. I also don’t see how I can ever trust the Rec Gov app in the future.
I will end by saying that the camp hosts were very nice, and understanding, as was the park ranger. I really appreciated that.
I just wish the RecGov app actually worked, and that if your reservation gets cancelled, you should get first shot at the same site if the park re-opens.
Note: there were several other people that got moved around as well.
I will also mention I had a reservation at Mill Creek for July 4 th. When that reservation was cancelled due to park flooding, it was removed from the Rec Gov app. So I know that it has worked correctly in the past.

Grass needed to be mowed. We were told camper can’t be pulled in forward because our vehicle was on the grass. There was absolutely no grass where we pulled the vehicle into and it was going to be moved as soon as we got it set up. We wouldn’t have pulled in forward if the picnic table was on the right side. We have been there before with several people in that spot where the camper was pulled in frontwards. The attendant was pretty rude about it.
