Grass needed to be mowed. We were told camper can’t be pulled in forward because our vehicle was on the grass. There was absolutely no grass where we pulled the vehicle into and it was going to be moved as soon as we got it set up. We wouldn’t have pulled in forward if the picnic table was on the right side. We have been there before with several people in that spot where the camper was pulled in frontwards. The attendant was pretty rude about it.

A very nice camp ground. Spot #44 is great, even though not on the water. Great shade all but maybe 2 hours in the am. Close to the showers. A very large park that’s always full. The boat ramp has to be the busiest on the lake, 10 deep to load or unload. Nice that it has a dock. We enjoyed our long weekend in the park.

The park as a whole was very nice with beutiful views. The campsites however are very unlevel. While this may not be a big issue to pull-behind campers, for motorhomes, most sites require an unsafe amount of levelling blocks. Of all the campsites we looked at, there were only three that are almost level enough for a motorhome.

Excellent hospitality and location, directly on Sam Rayburn Lake.
Bath house was dated and didn't have soap but were accessible and clean.
Will definitely be back (and stay on my list as hurricane evacuation locations)
