The camping part was great, I did not like if you show up a little early , before 3 pm , you had to sit in a driveway and wait till 3 before they let you in even if your spot was open, I payed for the whole day and only got half day worth. Either let people in at noon if spot is open or move the check out time to noon and check in to 1. I was told by staff that people abused it and arrived at 7 am, that is a little early but they need to let people in at noon if campsite is open

The "volunteers" we rude from the time we got there until we left. I would hate to go through life that angry all the time. I called ahead and checked to see what time we could get there and the lady told me anytime after noon. When we got there after noon the guy at the gate wouldn't let us go to our site. Made us park the campers in the overflow behind a gate. We could launch our boat and go to our camp by boat and hang out until he opened the gates at 3. Then every encounter with any of the volunteers was unpleasant. They all had bad attitudes. We will definitely be staying somewhere else from now on.

We experienced the great Texas storm at Mill Creek. Our hosts were the best. They constantly checked on the campers to make sure we were ok. The campground is old and the waterfront sites are not level, but the views are spectacular.
