What Guests Are Saying
Sandy Creek Park is praised for its peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and well-maintained grounds, making it a favorite among campers. Guests appreciate the spacious, level sites, helpful staff, and beautiful views of the lake. However, there are concerns about the outdated restrooms and difficulties with the dump station, which could use some improvement.

I love this spot. It is quiet and clean. The only issue I have is that there are no trash bins on the OFOL, so you have to make a trip to the other side to throw away your trash. I also don’t understand why they didn’t level the sites when they topped the main road. But still it is a hidden treasure.

The campground was nice as always and we had a wonderful time. The only thing that could have been better this time was the showers. They are in need of some maintenance something terrible. One of them sprayed straight out due to mineral build up on the shower head. The other shower head fell off the wall when I turned the water on. Other than that our experience was nice as always.

We were at Sandy Creek in February. This is our third time there. When turning off US190, the road is a bit sketchy for about 2 or 3 mi, but just took it slow in our RV. When entering the park, the road is newly paved. The campsites were very clean and mostly level. The lake provided some great scenery. We highly recommend and will definitely be back.
