What Guests Are Saying
Sandy Creek Park is praised for its peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and well-maintained grounds, making it a favorite among campers. Guests appreciate the spacious, level sites, helpful staff, and beautiful views of the lake. However, there are concerns about the outdated restrooms and difficulties with the dump station, which could use some improvement.

We always enjoy our time at Sandy Creek. The park is well maintained and usually not crowded. Martin Dies State Park is close by and has good trails. It’s a short drive into Jasper if we need to pick up groceries or eat at Elijah’s ( really good food).

We loved this spot where we could see the sunrise behind us in the morning and see the beautiful sunsets at night. A great Heron graced us with it’s presence daily and honked as it flew away. The grounds and bathrooms were well kept and there were no signs of spider webs on the hooks or under the bench. Hosts never stopped to speak with us (we weren’t offended) and the gate wasn’t working while we were there for fourteen days. There are alligators that swam by occasionally so be aware. We also saw many armadillos running around also.
