Kimball Bend is a nice quiet park that is perfect for that relaxing weekend getaway. All of the sites are easy to access and back into with the trailer. They’re clean and well kept. The bathroom facilities are also kept well. The staff/hosts are always welcoming and provide a great experience. That said, it is a small park with not a lot of park based activities. Best if you have a boat or plan to fish. You could also be like us and just want to be away from our responsibilities for a weekend! This is our second trip out during winter with an entire group of campers. We will certainly be back again.

Kimball Bend has a beautiful landscape with covered picnic tables in every site. However, the nearby TXDOT road construction project produces a great deal of noise, especially disturbing during the night. It will be a definite go to destination in a couple years when they are finished.
