Beautiful spot for camping and kayaking. It’s close to home without being at home.

Kimball Bend Park is a beautiful and well-kept campground with spacious sites, friendly hosts, and a peaceful atmosphere by the Brazos River. Many visitors appreciate the park's potential and the ongoing renovations, though there are concerns about high grass, ant infestations, and restroom cleanliness. Overall, guests enjoyed their stay and plan to return, particularly for the scenic views and the welcoming environment.

Nice small park with river access from nearly every site. Bridge noise a little loud but we expected - 1 small convenience store across river - Verizon cell service is zero coverage. Bathrooms older but pretty clean (2 for men and 2 for women for 31 sites)
