What Guests Are Saying
Kimball Bend Park is a beautiful and well-kept campground with spacious sites, friendly hosts, and a peaceful atmosphere by the Brazos River. Many visitors appreciate the park's potential and the ongoing renovations, though there are concerns about high grass, ant infestations, and restroom cleanliness. Overall, guests enjoyed their stay and plan to return, particularly for the scenic views and the welcoming environment.

Grass was extremely high so we had to bring a mower to mow the inner circle. The restrooms ran out of toilet paper.

Spring break and grass was not mowed - we had to do it ourselves. Bathrooms did not have hot water, and no toilet paper. I was very disappointed in our stay there - it is usually a great park but not this time

Kimbel Bend Park was nice enough with plenty of potential. The sites were large and each had a metal shelter. Two issues detracted from the experience. Lack of maintenance and the shower rooms. The grass was so tall. The hosts said the grass was cut every 4 weeks. We question that as the grass was tall when we arrived and other campers said it was long when they arrived. And it was still untouched when we left 3 weeks later. The four toilet/shower rooms did not have lights in them. So daytime use only or bring your own light. There was a worker that came through a couple times a week. One time she swept cob webs off the shelters of a few sites. Another time she moves a few metal fire rings around. The shower rooms were never cleaned and the grass was 6 to 8 inches tall in many places.
