Oak Forest RV Park features a beautifully manicured lawn and well-maintained amenities, including spacious sites, a pool, hot tub, and dog park. While there were some issues with office communication and restroom cleanliness, the park's convenient location near downtown Austin and accommodating staff contribute positively to the overall experience. Other than the manicured lawn, this resort needs some attentive office and maintenance staff.
I received a text in the morning of our arrival stating that the office would close at 1:30 pm. There were no check-in instructions and I had to ask for my site number. The office was closed for the rest of the weekend.
Upon arrival, there was not even a welcome packet to provide the bathroom codes or Wi-Fi password. I reached back out through the text that I had received with no response as well as called the office. The voicemail stated there was an after-hours contact which I reached out to with no success. Thankfully I didn't have an emergency!
Out of all of the pet stations we passed, only one had bags that were stocked. The restrooms were unkept, including dirty toilets and people's belongings left behind. The second morning, the shower rooms had been cleaned but the floors were still wet making it very slippery. One of the bathrooms had a soap dispenser that had been relocated to a different spot on the wall but the patch had not been fixed so there was missing paint and drywall repair needed, not to mention that the soap dispenser did not even work in that bathroom or two down from there.
The location is very convenient for events at the Travis County Expo Center but for $65 a night for an RV spot, would have expected much better service and Facilities.

Spoke with Imani yesterday. Their team is always accommodating, professional, and proactive when it comes to maintaining their fitness center. It’s great to see how much they value keeping their residents’ gym in top condition. We’re proud to provide their quarterly maintenance service and look forward to continuing our partnership!

We came threw Austin only expecting yo stay 2 nights a day then got hit by an ice storm. We were luckily able to extend our stay twice until it was safe to travel again. We were very thankful to have been in a place with electric hook up. The park was beautiful with a bunch of accommodations. We would highly recommend!

We stayed in our RV, so rooms are not applicable.
The issue with the location was our assigned slot. The dump station was up hill from our RV, making it a challenge to dump. The two open slots on either side of us were downhill from the dump station. We could have been offered one of those locations.
All else was good. Easy check-in. Quiet environment. Uber access was easy for trips into town.
Would definitely stay again.

I had a great stay at Oak Forest RV Resort. The park is clean, well-kept, and offers plenty of amenities that make it stand out. The sites are spacious, easy to pull into, and many have shade which is a big plus in Texas heat. The pool, hot tub, laundry area, and dog park are all very well maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
The location is also a major advantage—close enough to downtown Austin to get there quickly, but far enough to enjoy peace and quiet when you’re back at the resort. It feels safe, organized, and has a nice community vibe.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend Oak Forest RV Resort to anyone visiting Austin. Whether you’re there short-term or long-term, it’s a solid choice with a balance of comfort, convenience, and good atmosphere.
