Friendly, helpful staff at this quiet, laid-back RV park. The owner, Ed Welliver, was frequently in the office and spoke to us often. We stayed for three weeks in March when many of the sites were empty and their wasn’t much going on. They do have activities earlier in the winter when more winter Texans are in the area. Oleander Acres RV Resort is located just outside of the downtown area. Our site was level and the hookups worked well. We enjoyed walking our dog through the park just before sunset when the birds were very active. There is a dog park with some shade. They have a butterfly garden and a nursery onsite that we didn’t visit. Bath houses were dated but clean and laundry prices were low. There is a train track that runs between the highway and park, but it’s only active once or twice a day and didn’t bother us at all.
