This park is amazing. Well maintained and plenty of areas to bike and fish/swim. The park hosts were very nice and checked on us. The Head Ranger, Briscoe, also made the rounds and was very personable. He guided us on several neat things to do in the area. Highly recommend this park and will return soon.

Site 53 was nice. Pretty level. Nice view of lake. 50amp power worked well. Bathroom was old but clean. Looked like floors had been redone recently. No hand dryers or paper towels to dry hands.
Overall nice experience. Very few people in park. Very quite

Spacious sites. Easy access to the water. And places to dock or tie off boats in the inlets. Water in inlets vary in depth. So make sure you have a depth finder. And as always watch for snakes. We saw wild turkeys, deer, hogs, foxes, and a host of rabbits and armadillo. Bring ant poison and water shoes. Host were very pleasant and helpful. Had a very pleasant time.

Could only run one ac with the 30amp service - very hot weather. Need to run 2. This was the first location I could not run 2 ac on a 30 amp. Beautiful location!

First of all, our campsite was GREAT! Lots of shade and isolated from our neighbors and had direct access down to the lake. Amazing views, especially at sunset.
Now for the bad...
Park staff decided to mow around our campsite just as I was about to start cooking outside. It was hot and dry outside, so the dust and debris was EVERYWHERE! They had no regard for the fact I was trying to prepare food, and I was really concerned their big zero-turn mowers would throw a rock against my camper. This went on for literally over an hour, and by the time they finished there was grass, dirt, and other debris all over everything that was outside. It pretty much ruined the whole trip.
